A real good example of a wonderful product design idea but I doubt it some thought had gone into product usability. The idea is really wonderful. Instead of stooping down each time and shuffling the CPU to insert the pendrive, build in the usb port in the keyboard itself. But as we see in scenarios like the one shown above, a slight nudge to the keyboard, and there is a great risk of the pendrive getting damaged. And it has actually happend with a team mate of mine. The keyboard concept with built in usb port works really well when the keyboard is kept on the table. I really can't say how many people would really remove keyboard from the tray and keep it on table whenever they want to use the pendrive port (as I saw from my team mate's case recently, not many would take that pain). But again, a really wonderful idea....wish I could really probe on how people find it to use in their day to day work and in all kind of scenarios (keyboard stand and without that).

Thats true lokesh.... but still its good innovation. People in india don't mind compromizing on some defect to gain something.
Anyhow.... we will be using the pen drive only if the PC is ON
Ya..no denying its a good innovation. Btw, after i posted this piece..came to know that in Mac keyboards too there are built in usb ports but they have kept it at horizontal level and not in vertical format..so that really helps if you ask me...coz in horizontal formet there is no chances of damaging ur pendrive.
BTW..u know Sam broke my pen drive on this keyboard...when the PC was ON :-)
Fully Agreed.... but don't you think keeping it horizontally also would effect...I mean you see many of the keyboard drawers are made FIT to space. so howcan you insert a PEN drive horizontally if you dont have space.
Check out the keyboard design that mac has...U will get to know what I am talking about when i say horizontal. :-) keyboard design like that don't interfere with drawer. Will send u snapshots of those keyboard designs.
