Many of the rasams followed in the wedding were quite similar to ours but this one caught us by surprise. In this one, the girl's mama is supposed to hold a knife on the girl's forehead. All the elders & juniors will then come, pick up some durva (grass leaves) kept in a bowl of oil and brush that leaves against Neha's forehead and feet. It is said that if an unmarried girl performs the ceremony first, then she would get married soon. We hunted for chingu but couldn't find her on time to perform 1st;-)
